To start off I know this is not really a tech thing but I am reviewing it as more of an accessory for your smart bulbs. The Brightech Maxwell Shelf Floor Lamp is a nice combination of opaque floor lamp with a usable shelf space. (Although this is not a very large shelf space but still nice to have) I use this as a display for colored LED bulbs at our showroom. I do wish it was a little more transparent as it makes it harder to see the colors when there is more light. However, at night this is a nice light source to have in any living room and to have a multi purpose lamp is amazing. Since I am using this item for smart bulbs I do not use the pull string but did have some troubles with it in the designated hole and moved it to one of the vent holes which worked better. I would also prefer to have the bottom of the light section clear so light would go below as well and I may make this modification myself at a later date but it does work as it is. They provide a couple clips to hold the wire to the frame so you can hide it on the back side of one of the supports. The fixture is pretty stable but is not extremely durable in my mind. It was very easy to assemble and didn’t even require any instructions to put it together and took me about 15 minutes with taking my time. I do really like that I can use it as a display shelf as well as the light fixture so it works well for my needs.
